About James

Biography

James was born in Panama, Ancon, Canal Zone June 1st, 1968. His childhood was marked by frequent moves, ultimately settling in El Paso, TX, at the age of 16. After completing high school in El Paso, James joined the US Army, serving with distinction until receiving an honorable discharge at the conclusion of the Gulf War in 1991.

Currently residing in Phoenix, Arizona, James works primarily with polymer clay, a medium that enables him to both sculpt and "paint" with the clay. When one of his collectors dubbed his creations "synthetic offspring," James earned the nickname Clay DADDY!!

In addition to his synthetic offspring, James has two children: Anthony, who lives in Montana, and Virginia, who resides in Utah. Both are truly remarkable individuals.

James's exceptional use of Millefiori techniques is best showcased in his three-dimensional mosaics. He also crafts mythical creatures, characters, and occasionally integrates this intricate method. Each piece he creates is truly one-of-a-kind original art .

Chewie, his loyal miniature poodle, is his constant companion and muse. James also collaborates with his wife, Sue, on creating unique Art Dolls. Her site is NightmareDoll.Com
