Artist's Statement

Welcome to ClayDaddy.Art, the creative realm where polymer clay transforms into vivid expressions of art. As a polymer clay artist, I harness the power of the millefiori technique—a time-honored method that involves the intricate layering and slicing of clay to create mesmerizing patterns and designs.

My subjects range from the mysterious depths of the ocean to the legendary tales of dragons and other fantasy creatures. Octopuses with their graceful tentacles, dragons with their mythical allure, and a plethora of fantastical beings come to life in my hands. Additionally, I extend my craft to fine art, adorning glass pieces and crafting bowls that serve as functional yet breathtaking art forms. I fondly refer to these creations as my synthetic offspring.

Growing up, I spent countless hours playing with Star Wars figurines and immersing myself in the world of Dungeons and Dragons. These experiences fueled my imagination and inspired me to create intricate and fantastical stories and characters, which now influence my art. Through my work, I strive to blur the lines between reality and fantasy, offering viewers a portal into worlds both familiar and enchantingly novel. Each piece is a journey, an invitation to explore the vivid interplay of color, form, and inspiration.
